A note from the teacher....
This is my third year at Roosevelt Elementary School, I am proud to be a member of the Mesa Public Schools Team. This year I am teaching 1st grade and I look forward to an exciting new year of learning and growing together. I graduated from Arizona State University in 2000 and from Northern Arizona University in 2009 with my Master's in Elementary Education.
My husband and I enjoy river rafting and traveling. We have visited Italy, Jamaica, Yellowstone, Yosemite and Glacier National Parks. Mr. Hess and I also love football. We try our best to be loyal Cardnals fans. Some weeks are easier than others. I also have a twin sister and a little dog named Leroy.
Reading is also a favorite hobby of mine. I encourage all of my students (and their families) to read for fun every night. Reading can help our students in so many ways. Taking trips to the local library is a wonderful way to encourage your child to read and support them as they become fluent readers.
