In this classroom we do thank yous.   We do respect.   We do mistakes.  We do praise.   We do our best.    We do I am sorry.   We do friendships.  We do laughter.  We do learning.

First Graders are forming habits that they need to know to succeed in school. Creating a helpful, caring environment is a priority in our classroom.   When children care about each others' feelings they soon desire to help each other succeed.  First Grade is all about the joy of reading which helps to create a passion for learning throughout life.

The more that you learn, the more places you'll go."

Biography:  I wanted to be a teacher since I was in kindergarten. I graduated from Brigham Young University with a Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education and an academic specialty in children's drama.   I taught preschool on and off for over twenty years while raising my precious children. This is my sixth year of teaching and I absolutely love it.  I am married and have nine children and five more amazing children who chose to be part of our family!  I have twelve  grandchildren.   I love families and have a great desire to support all families of first graders who I have the privilege and honor to teach.
