We are the Lumberjacks! Ms. Schaumburg's 4th grade class is the official NAU classroom at Salk. Our NAU spirit continues to grow each week as the classroom is transforming into a sea of blue and gold. As we move into being an AVID school, each classroom has adopted a college or university. Students are encouraged to wear blue, gold or NAU shirts on Wednesdays.
I am starting my 6th year at Salk Elementary. This is my 4th year teaching 4th grade and I love it!
Parents can email me at firstname.lastname@example.org or call my school phone at 472-8448. I will get back to you as soon as possible.
I was at Lowell Elementary for 12 years. I had the pleasure of teaching 5th and 6th grade in the classroom for eight years, as well as spending three, fun years in the media center, my last year at Lowell was spent as the writing coach. I had a great fun spending time with all the grade levels with a focus of writing. Before moving to Mesa, I called Flagstaff home for 15 years, attending junior high, high school, and college there. NAU prepared me to be a teacher, I still refer back to lessons learned in college while teaching in my classroom now.
I have been a resident of Arizona since the age of 13 and am proud to call the Grand Canyon State my home. My son is a Sophmore next door at Red Mountain High School. My parents and aunts also live in Mesa, I am very thankful for all the help they give me in the classroom.
