I would like to take this time to introduce myself and welcome you to Room F1!

I am so excited to learn from my students during the 2018-2019 school year at Salk Elementary.  This is my fifth year with Mesa Public Schools and I am thrilled to be part of such a beautiful community. I am going to bring a lot of fun and creative experiences to our classroom involving music and movement, while celebrating each student's individual abilities. Students are encouraged to be a part of their own learning and develop the leadership skills for a successful school year.

collegeNow for a little background about myself! I am an Arizona native. I grew up in Gilbert and attended school through the Gilbert Public School system. I earned my Bachelor of Science degree in Elementary Education with an Early Childhood Endorsement and my certification as a Speech-Language Pathologist Assistant from : NAU        Go Lumberjacks!!!

My main focus of study was Early Childhood Education. After finishing my degree, I decided to work as a substitute teacher so I could become familiar with different age groups and submerge myself into a variety of school cultures and philosophies. I am the type of person that loves to try something new and exciting, so I often go hiking, fishing, camping whenever I get the opportunity. I enjoy spending my time with family, friends, going to concerts, painting, and reading.

minionI hope you quickly become comfortable communicating with me about your child. Please feel free to email me at your convenience and I will try my best to respond in a timely manner within a 24 hour period.  I look forward to welcoming you and your child into our 4th grade class.
