I would like to take this time to introduce myself and welcome you to Room F1!
I am so excited to learn from my students during the 2018-2019 school year at Salk Elementary. This is my fifth year with Mesa Public Schools and I am thrilled to be part of such a beautiful community. I am going to bring a lot of fun and creative experiences to our classroom involving music and movement, while celebrating each student's individual abilities. Students are encouraged to be a part of their own learning and develop the leadership skills for a successful school year.
Now for a little background about myself! I am an Arizona native. I grew up in Gilbert and attended school through the Gilbert Public School system. I earned my Bachelor of Science degree in Elementary Education with an Early Childhood Endorsement and my certification as a Speech-Language Pathologist Assistant from : Go Lumberjacks!!!
My main focus of study was Early Childhood Education. After finishing my degree, I decided to work as a substitute teacher so I could become familiar with different age groups and submerge myself into a variety of school cultures and philosophies. I am the type of person that loves to try something new and exciting, so I often go hiking, fishing, camping whenever I get the opportunity. I enjoy spending my time with family, friends, going to concerts, painting, and reading.
I hope you quickly become comfortable communicating with me about your child. Please feel free to email me at your convenience and I will try my best to respond in a timely manner within a 24 hour period. I look forward to welcoming you and your child into our 4th grade class.
