Welcome to Room 8!!

SnorklingMy birthday

A little about Ms. Kim (Doyle):

This will be my 38th (YIKES!! Time flies when you're having fun!!) year working in education and, yes, I am still excited to be working with kids! My career has taken me from the fields of Little Lake School in Hemet, California to the gym at Hemet Jr. High School to the 8th grade science classroom at Rhodes Jr. High and, finally the science department of Dobson High School before I retired in 2010. The positions I have held during the first 30 years ranged from elementary physical education teacher, coach, district assistant athletic director, science department chair, senior high summer school principal, credit recovery coordinator, and science/biology teacher. My favorite position is still TEACHER!

As a long term substitute at SHARP School, I fell in love with a group of students. Before I knew it I was back in school working on my special education certification through Mesa Public School's Teacher In Residence program and Rio Salado College. I am forever grateful for the opportunity afforded to me to continue my work here with these fantastic students, super hero colleagues, and a supportive and positive administrator. This is my sixth year at SHARP.

When I'm not working, I enjoy traveling, gardening, reading nonfiction, long walks with my furry kids: Lil Joe and Bailey, and a variety of other activities. Frequently, I return to my home state of California to visit my family.

My Vision:

It is my goal to provide the best learning environment and opportunity for each of my students. I believe whole heartily that they can one day live productive and happy lives while making positive contributions to the community.

Communication:

Please feel free to communicate with me in whichever medium best suits you: email, and/or the good ol' landline! I am open and honest, and welcome parental input at any time. This is a Team Sport, after all! And we are all on the same team: your child!

I hope the 2017-18 school year is a positive, fulfilling year for everyone involved!
