Our spring choral concert has been moved to:
Tuesday, March 9th
6:00 pm and 7:15 pm
Call time: 5:00
I am so very sorry for this late notice. My daughter is scheduled to have her baby. In order for me to be there for the birth of my grandson and the concert, we are moving the concert. Thank you for your patience with me.
Our Spring Choral concert is this Tuesday, March 9th in the Shepherd Jr High Auditorium. Our choir program is growing and we have difficulty getting everyone in the auditorium with one concert; so we are performing TWO identical concerts beginning at 6:00 pm and 7:15pm. The program will be about 1 hour long and will consist of all choirs.
Important reminders for the concert:
ü All choirs meet in the auditorium at 5:00 to rehearse the opening and closing choral union numbers. Please sign in when you arrive. If you have a conflict, and will be late, please send a note so points will not be deducted.
ü The choir students are expected to be at both concerts. The concert is the end of the quarter final. The student’s grade will be dropped if he/she misses the concert.
ü Proper concert behavior is extremely important for the safety of students. Students are to return to the assigned rooms backstage between the two concerts. Any students seen using inappropriate behavior or out of assigned places before, between or during the concerts will not be allowed to perform in the concert. No talking is allowed during the concert. Great performers are expected to be great audiences.
ü All students are performing the opening and closing numbers. Please sit in your assigned places with your choir throughout the concert.
Concert attire:
Men: Tuxedo vest, white long-sleeved dress shirt, black dress pants (no Dockers) black bowtie, black socks and black dress shoes.
4th Hour Women: Black formal dress, black ¼ - 1/2 inch ribbon around neck, black nylons and black closed-toed shoes with moderate heels.
6th Hour Women: Our new black dresses, black ¼ - 1/2 inch ribbon around neck, black nylons and black closed-toed shoes with moderate heels.
Everyone has been working hard to get our music ready. I am looking forward to a great concert. If you have any questions, please call or email me at school.
