Mrs. Ouellette

As a native Arizonan and growing up in Mesa, I attended Hermosa Vista Elementary, Poston Junior High and graduated from Mountain View High School in 1996.  During my senior year I began coursework at MCC and then transferred to ASU where I received a BAE in Education, Science emphasis, Minor Biology in 2001.  In addition to my Bachelor's degree, I also have obtained a Masters Degree with honors in Secondary Education/Multicultural Education, 24-graduate credits in Biology through the University of Arizona which qualifies me to teach science at the community college level, and am currently in an Administration and Leadership Masters Program at Arizona State University.

In 2001, I began teaching at Shepherd Junior High and have been here ever since!  Although through my own education and here at Shepherd, I have taught preschool through seniors, I primarily teach 7th grade general and honors integrated science.  During my time at Shepherd I have served as the Science Department Chair from 2005-2008 & 2011-present, sat on the School Leadership Team, worked at the district level doing curriculum mapping, served as a Career Ladder coach and currently serve as a mentor with the ASU ITeach program and SEED grant recipients.
