A Message From Principal Parker

Students will soon be participating in AzMERIT testing.  The Sirrine teachers have been teaching the standards that build on knowledge and skills from prior grade levels as they deal with increasingly complex topics. They stress conceptual understanding to ensure that students truly absorb what they are learning, instead of merely memorizing for a test, then forgetting much of what they learn.

A Message From Principal Parker

State assessments will begin for students when we return from spring break. You can help us by ensuring that your child comes to school each day, on time and ready to learn. It is important for children of elementary school age to get sufficient rest to be able to learn to their fullest potential. Research shows that students between the ages of 5-10 need 10-12 hours of sleep per day. Ensuring that their schedules allow for this will provide students with enough rest to prepare them to be able to be attentive when they are at school. We appreciate your help and support and know that working together the children at Sirrine will achieve.
