Thank you for another wonderful and productive school year. I can’t thank everyone enough for your endless hours of volunteering, reading, organizing, donating and doing whatever was necessary to support students—both at home and at school. Special thanks to our Student Council who, as usual, went above and beyond the call of duty to provide whatever was necessary to add to our students’ already rich school experience.
State assessments will begin for students when we return from spring break. You can help us by ensuring that your child comes to school each day, on time and ready to learn. It is important for children of Elementary school age to get sufficient rest to be able to learn to their fullest potential. Research shows that students between the ages of 5-10 need 10-12 hours of sleep per day. Ensuring that their schedules allow for this will provide students with enough rest to pre pare them to be able to attend when they are at school. We appreciate your help and support and know that working together the children at Sirrine will achieve.
Thank you to all of our Sidewinder parents who made time in their busy schedules to attend our conferences. Communication and goal setting is key to student’s academic success. A strong partnership between home and school is essential and as part of the parent school partnership, Sirrine has other options that offer you opportunities to be more involved in your child’s school
The Sirrine staff and I are pleased to be partners in helping to educate your children. If you ever have questions, comments or concerns regarding your child please contact their teacher or the front office and we will be happy to assist you. The earlier we address a problem together, the better the outcome for all.
