I am absolutely thrilled to be your teacher this year. Third grade means a whole lot of growth, learning, and of course, fun! There is so much greatness in store and I can’t wait to be alongside you all through it. As we start out this year, I thought you might like to know a little about me.
I have been married to my amazing husband, Sam, for just over a year. We recently added our sweet rescue doggie named Koda into our little family (he’s our only kid for a while). I have lived in Arizona my whole life, all throughout the east valley, and I graduated from Basha High School in Chandler. I attended college at Grand Canyon University where I received my Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood Education.Go Lopes! I’m the youngest of my family and thankfully, we still live close to my parents and sister.
This is my first year teaching in my own classroom and I am so grateful that it is at Sirrine. However, I have been in the Mesa Public Schools district for a year, completing my student teaching and then moving onto substitute teaching! I have wanted to teach for as long as I can remember and have taken any opportunity to do so. I am confident and comfortable in this role and I strive to instill that in my students. Nobody is perfect and I still have much to learn, but I hope that my students and their families will know I am always for their success and love them as if they are my own kids! With that, I am positive that this year will be one to remember!
