Season Recap:
The 2012 Coyote season has come to an end,
but let's reflect on how all squads fared:
There were many new coaches brought in this year in hopes of changing the attitude about Skyline Coyote Football. First year head coach Angelo Paffumi began that attitude adjustment back in the Spring when the boys first started preparing for the 2012 season. From Varsity on down to Freshman Coach Paffumi worked with all squads, players, and coaches to ensure a positive, winning attitude was established. All coaches, and players worked throughout the spring, and summer just to prepare for the upcoming season. Then, once August rolled around and it was time for the games the boys were that much more prepared for the season. All squads got off to a great start winning their first two games of the season. Varsity traveled up to Kingman for the season opener. A long drive for a game, but an enjoyable ride back after a 40-7 victory. Freshman had their highlight of the season during weeks 3 and 4. For the first time in school history the Freshman squad had defeated two other Mesa schools in a single season. Not only did the Freshmen defeat both Mountain View and Dobson, but they defeated them in consecutive weeks. The JV squad finished the season with a solid 4-5 record. Considering some of the injuries the squad had to deal with in the middle of the year, as well as the fact of some players playing up on the Varsity level, the JV coaches did what they could with the players they had and ended the season with a victory.
CONGRATULATIONS TO ALL SQUADS
AND
WE ALL LOOK FORWARD TO SEEING
MORE SUCCESS
NEXT YEAR
AS WE BEGIN TO PREPARE FOR THE
2013 SEASON.
