Biography
Mrs. Carilyn Knill is a native of California, but most recently lived in Colorado for twenty years before moving to Arizona. She has been married to Dennis for thirty-two years and has two children, Sarah, who's 31, and Stephen, who's 28.
Mrs. Knill attends Central Christian Church and is involved in ministries there. Her hobbies include reading, singing with her husband, and antique hunting and collecting. When not doing one of those activities or teaching she can often be found in Tombstone, Arizona with her re-inacting club The Territorial Troupers. She and her husband participate in skits based on historical events from Arizona's past as well as charity events for Theraputic Riding of Tucson (TROT).
Mrs. Knill has taught at Skyline High School for ten years. Before that she taught at Dobson for a year and a half and also substituted in the district. She has taught Theatre Arts, Stage Craft, Reading, P of E I, II, and III, American Literature, and Senior Literature.This year Mrs. Knill is taking on a new challenge. She is teaching the Early Childhood Professions classes along with Reading. Mrs. Knill will also be conducting the Preschool in the Spring Semester.
Mrs. Knill has also designed and constructed costumes for Calamity Jane, Fiddler on the Roof, Bye Bye Birdie, Copa Cabana, and Aida, all musicals produced here at Skyline.
Mrs. Knill is a co-designer of the Coyotes Read program and one of the sponsors of the Skyline Christian Youth Fellowship club on campus.
Mrs. Knill has enjoyed her years at Skyline as a teacher. Recently she has also been asked to take on the challenge of opening a full-day child care center at Skyline which will open next August and be called Coyote Kids Child Development Center.
