Mrs. Angela Falk
I am an Arizona native, born and raised, I am married and my two boys who are also Arizona natives, born and raised in Mesa. They are both graduates from Red Mountain High School. One of my boys graduated from ASU with a finance degree and the other works for Amazon.
I am very proud to say I graduated from Ottawa University in 2005 with a status of Summa Cum Laude, “With Highest Honors”.
My teaching experiences over the years have included teaching 5th, 6th, and 7th grades in various charter schools in Arizona, Remedial Reading and American Sign Language at a charter High School. Then as an 8th grade English Language Development (ELD) at Mesa Junior High School, after they close Mesa Jr. I worked four years as an 8th grade ELA teacher, including one year as 7th / 8th grade ELD teacher plus I served 2 years as the 8th grade English Department Chair with Taylor Jr. I taught 4 years at Skyline as their ELD teacher, and I enjoyed it very much. This year I will be bringing back the American Sign Language world language, here at Skyline.
I strive for all students to do their best! I will challenge your student and prepare them for the rigors of high school and for life beyond high school. Besides motivating them academically I will also inspire them to become an improved person by emphasizing 6 important character traits; responsibility, caring, respectfulness, citizenship, fairness, and trustworthiness. My pet peeve is being on time and turning in your assignments on their due date. Favorite quote is by Nelson Mandela – “Education is the most powerful weapon which you can use to change the world.”
Let’s have a GREAT year!
