Mrs. Angela Falk
The schools that I have attended are Mesa Community College, Phoenix Community College, University of Phoenix and Ottawa University in Phoenix. I attended MCC for my undergraduate work, PCC to get my certification in ASL, and U of Phx for my Reading Credentials.
I am very proud to say I graduated from Ottawa University with a status of Summa Cum Laude, “With Highest Honors,” in 2005.
This will be my 12th year teaching. My teaching experiences over the years have included teaching 5th, 6th, and 7th grades in various charter schools in Arizona, Remedial Reading and American Sign Language at the High School level, and 8th grade English Language Development (ELD) at Mesa Junior High School, four years as an 8th grade ELA teacher, one year as 7th and 8th grade ELD teacher plus I served 2 years as the 8th grade English Department Chair. This will be my second year I am excited to be teaching at Skyline as their English Language Development teacher.
I strive for all students to do their best! I will challenge your student and prepare them for the rigors of high school. Besides motivating them academically I will also inspire them to become an improved person by emphasizing 6 important character traits; responsibility, caring, respectfulness, citizenship, fairness, and trustworthiness. My pet peeve is being on time and turning in your assignments on their due date. Favorite quote is by Nelson Mandela – “Education is the most powerful weapon which you can use to change the world.”
Let’s have a GREAT year!
