A little about me: I was born and raised in Chandler, Arizona. I graduated from Corona del Sol High School in Tempe. I then continued my education at Northern Arizona University, where I graduated with a degree in Secondary Education: Social Studies and History. I also have endorsements in: CTE Education Training K-12, Structure English Immersion K-12, Social Sciences, Middle Grades Social Studies, and History. In 2016, my husband and I moved from Flagstaff back to the valley. In June of 2019 we welcomed our son, Mason, into our family.

Before becoming an Education Professions teacher, I taught preschool (eighteen months to five years old) for five years. I then changed paths and began teaching history.. I am passionate about education and I love that I am able to teach future educators. I am so excited and proud to be part of the Education Professions program at Skyline.

One of my absolute favorite parts of getting to be part of this program is that I get to be the sponsor for the CTSO (Career and Technical Student Organization) Educators Rising. EdRising is an incredible opportunity where students get to grow and share their passions through projects, competitions, and hands on learning.

I don't tend to have a lot of free time as I have a toddler at home; but when I do have free time I enjoy reading, traveling, and being on and in the water. I love tubing and boating with my friends and family. I also love all things Harry Potter and Disney.

VolleyballWhen I am not at school or snuggling my little boy, you can most likely find me on a volleyball court. Volleyball has been a love of mine for many years. I not only have played for over 16 years but I have coached volleyball at all different levels. Although I know I will miss it, I decided to take a break from coaching this year.

I am very excited for the 2020-2021 school year. I know that this year is going to be completely different from other years but I am looking forward to making it a great, successful, engaging year. I look forward to working with you and your student. Please feel free to contact me with any questions.
