Biography

Mrs. Philips is the counselor assigned to assist students whose last names begin with MIT - SAG. She is available by appointment, email, or phone call to assist with student or parent needs.

She serves as the Test Coordinator for NAEP(National Assessment of Educational Progress), the counselor of international students, is a member of the Scholarship & Awards Committee, the Profesional Learning Community Committee, and is involved in a variety of other Skyline activities.

Before moving to the Counseling Department at Skyline High School, she taught English, Spanish, French, and math in the Mesa district.  Her B.A. is in Spanish from the University of Georgia and her M.A. is in Counseling from Ball State University (Germany campus).

Previous employment includes the American National Red Cross as a Recreation Director at Dwight D. Eisenhower Medical Center in GA, the ARC Acting Field Director at Fort Huachuca, AZ, and Test Proctor for the U.S. Army in Germany. She is well prepared to assist the students at Skyline High School.
