Rules/Policies

Dear Parents/Guardians and Students,

Welcome to (Course Title). I would like to take this opportunity to review my classroom expectations so that this will be a rewarding school year for all of us as you begin your high school career. By reading and signing these policies, you are acknowledging your awareness and acceptance to abide by these policies in this classroom at all times.

Classroom Policies:

Appropriate and safe conduct is important to success in an art class because of the supplies, equipment, and tools, which must be handled carefully. Misbehavior in an art classroom poses the possibility of injury to yourself, others and/or damage to personal property. You will be expected to follow the Guidelines for student behavior in your student handbook as well as the following guidelines:

  1. Be in your seat, ready to begin work when the bell rings.
  2. Respect yourself, others and all property.
  3. Raise your hand to contribute during instruction
  4. Follow directions the first time.
  5. Have necessary materials in class each day.

Completing a project does not mean just doing something as quickly as possible and turning it in for a grade. Your assignments must be on the proper subject matter and include plan, forethought, good design, color choice, composition, perspective and size.
ALWAYS STRIVE TO DO YOUR BEST - YOUR VERY BEST.
