Thank you for visiting my webpage. I'm excited to begin my 9th year as an Assistant Principal at Skyline High School. This year I will serve as Assistant Principal of the Junior Class. Quite simply, I will do my best to work with all students to help pass classes, receive course credits, maintain proper discipline, and achieve their goal of graduating from Skyline High School.
In addition, I will begin my 8th year as Athletic Director at Skyline High School. My goal is to help each student athlete be successful in the classroom as well as in their particular sport. I will be present in classrooms, at practices, and at competitions for all sports to help support our student athletes and coaches. I want Skyline High School Athletics to compete at a high level in every endeavor, whether that be in the classroom or on the athletic field. (You can follow Skyline Athletics on Twitter on @SkylineCoyote).
I have been employed with Mesa Public Schools for 37 years. I served 7 years as Assistant Principal/Athletic Director at Rhodes Junior High School before arriving at Skyline. Prior to Rhodes, I have been Assistant Principal at Stevenson, Taft, Eisenhower and Keller Elementary Schools. Prior to my administrative career, I was a teacher for 20 years. I have taught at Stevenson, Whittier and Porter Elementary Schools as well as being a Faculty Associate for 11 years at Arizona State University in the College of Education.
I am originally from Two Rivers, Wisconsin (yes, I'm a Cheesehead!). I graduated from high school and was recruited by Arizona State University to play football. I played on two Fiesta Bowl teams and on a Garden State Bowl team. I am a huge Sun Devil fan and proud alumnus. (Go Devils!). In addition, I am a proud husband, dad, and grandparent. I thoroughly enjoy being grandpa to my one-year-old grand daughter, Olivia, as well as being with my wife, Karen, daughters Jessica, Lindsay, and son-in-law, Chris. Along with being with family, I also enjoy reading, traveling, and golfing (recording a hole-in-one at Viewpoint Golf Course in Mesa.)
