Assistant Principal/Athletic Director:

Thank you for visiting my webpage.  I'm excited to begin my third year as an Assistant Principal at Skyline High School.  This year I will serve as Assistant Principal of the Junior Class. Quite simply, I will do my best to work with our students to help pass classes, receive course credits, maintain proper discipline, and achieve their goal of graduating from Skyline High School.  I look forward to meeting and working with the awesome Coyote students, parents, staff and community.

In addition, I will serve as the Athletic Director at Skyline High School.  My goal is to help each student athlete be successful in the classroom as well as in their particular sport.  I will be present in classrooms, at practices, and at competitions for all sports to help support our student athletes and coaches.  I want Skyline High School athletics to compete at a high level in every endeavor, whether that be in the classroom or on the athletic field.  I'm anxious to begin working with our student athletes, coaches, parents and Coyote fans.

I have been employed with Mesa Public Schools for 32 years.  I served 7 years as Assistant Principal/Athletic Director at Rhodes Junior High School before arriving at Skyline.  Prior to Rhodes, I have been Assistant Principal at Stevenson, Taft, Eisenhower and Keller Elementary Schools.  Before beginning my administrative career I was a teacher for 20 years.  I have taught at Stevenson, Whittier and Porter Elementary Schools as well as being a Faculty Asssociate for 11 years at Arizona State University in the College of Education.

I am originally from Two Rivers, Wisconsin (yes, I'm a Cheesehead!).  I graduated from high school and was recruited by Arizona State University to play football.  I played on two Fiesta Bowl teams and on a Garden State Bowl team.  I am a huge Sun Devil fan (Go Devils!)   I enjoy reading, traveling, golfing (recording a hole-in-one at Viewpoint Golf Course ) but most importantly, being with my wife, Karen, along with daughters Jessica, Lindsay, and son-in-law, Chris.
