I am an Arizona native who attended Camelback High a long time ago.  In 1993, I earned my Bachelor of Arts from the University of Arizona.  My major was in Political Science with a minor in history. In 2015, I earned my Masters degree in American History and Government from Ashland University in Ohio.  I had the pleasure to write a 65 page thesis paper to complete my degree.  It was about President Taft's thoughts on presidential power.  It wasn't about how he got stuck in a bath tub.  Which is a made up story by the way.

I've been teaching social studies for the past seventeen years.  I began my teaching career at Coronado High in Scottsdale.  Over the years, I've taught American and World history, Government, Economics, as well as AP classes in World history, Government, and Economics.  I'm currently the "We The People" instructor and club sponsor.

Before I was a teacher, I worked at Bank of America as a teller and in back office positions.  I worked there for eleven years.  The only exciting things to happen as a banker was to be robbed five times, with three at gun point.  During this time of being a target of robbers, I also played drum set in a ska band "Dave's Big Deluxe."  We were fortunate to have traveled around the Western U.S., and we released two CDs.  I still play and gig today.
