Biography:

Hello! My name is Trina Kelly and I am entering my 12th year of teaching.  I am a Southwest Girl who was born in New Mexico, raised in Texas, and have lived in Arizona for over 25 years.  I currently reside in Gilbert with my family: My husband, and two daughters, Andreya (19) and Laura (18).

I hold a Bachelor’s degree in History and a Master’s degree in Special Education from Arizona State University.  I also have a Master’s degree in Secondary Education from the University of Phoenix.  I have taught in both the junior high and high school setting.  I come to Mesa from the Gilbert Public Schools, and I have taught at Greenfield Jr. High, South Valley Jr. High, and Desert Ridge HS. This is my 5th year at Skyline and I will be teaching AP Psychology, Psychology I and II, and World History.

In my spare time, I love reading biographies and historical fiction novels.  I also enjoy spending time with my family and working on sewing projects, and other crafty hobbies. One of my family's favorite things to do is attend musicals and theatrical productions.  Being a history nerd, the Hamilton musical is definitely my all time favorite musical!!  Some of my other favorite musicals are: A Gentleman's Guide to Love and Murder, Something Rotten!, Wicked!, The Sound of Music, and Finding Neverland. I am also a huge fan of all Arizona sports, so I try to attend as many football and baseball games as possible. I especially enjoy going to support our Skyline Basketball and Baseball teams!

I am fortunate to be part of the amazing staff at Skyline and look forward to working with your students!  If you have any questions, feel free to email me at the address listed above.  Have a wonderful year, Coyotes!!
