What is Blended Learning?
Blended learning refers to any time a student learns, at least in part, at a brick-and-mortar facility and through online delivery with student control over time, place, path, or pace.
In November 2012, voters approved a $230 million bond issue for Mesa Public Schools. These funds were approved to provide much needed upgrades to our facilities, transportation services and technology infrastructure. A portion of the bond funds has been designated to purchase student devices to support the creation of 21st Century, 1:1/blended learning environments in Mesa Public Schools. Skyline High School was the pilot school and began to incorporate this concept during the 2015-16 school year.
