Let's Play Sports!
Season I Game Schedule:
The goal of Mesa Public Schools Junior High Athletics Program is to involve as many students as possible in a wide variety of sports while developing their skills in a competitive environment in order to prepare them for high school both as students and athletes.
Mesa Public School’s athletics are divided into four seasons, with two different skill levels.
Competitive grade level teams are comprised of students who exhibit prior experience or skill. They receive uniforms, travel for games, compete and participate in tournaments. Students who desire to be on the competitive team, must try out. Students will be selected based on their skills at the discretion of the coaches. Registration paperwork must be received prior to the first day of try-outs, and the $75 registration fee is due upon the conclusion of try-outs. Students who have not paid their registration fee will not be allowed to participate in scheduled practices or play in games.
Skills Camps are comprised of 7th and 8th grade students who are still developing their skills, or desire to practice/improve their skills and do not want to be on a team. Skills Camps are open to all students. They will receive a t-shirt and will play a scrimmage game at the end of the season. Registration paperwork must be received prior to the first day of camp, with the $55 registration fee. Students who have not paid their registration fee will not be allowed to participate in the camp.
ALL students must maintain a passing grade in all of their classes to participate in games and tournaments throughout the season, and must attend at least three class periods the day of a game to play.
