Remember the adults in the Charlie Brown specials? Do you ever feel like one of those adults—all your teen seems to hear is “Wah wah wah wah wah”?  Learn more effective ways of communicating with your teen about tough topics—anything from homework to dating to drugs—and grow your connection by listening to their words…so they will listen to yours.  

Wednesday, September 27th (9:35 am) Smith will hold its first Pep Rally of the school year. Orchestra has a concert on Tuesday, Choir will perform at Skyline on Wednesday and Band has a concert on Thursday.  Visit our website for complete details.  

Smith's Builders of Literacy Club meets every Thursday at 4:00pm in the Family Resource Room (Media Center).  The club will provide all students with opportunities to do public service, build character, develop leadership and develop fun activities that help build literacy across Smith's campus.  If you are interested in joining, come to a meeting or see Mrs. Bartow in the Media Center or Ms. Napoleone in Room 118. 


Christian Club meets every Thursday at 4:00pm in Mr. Dahlberg's room.  The club is open to all students who wish to express and strengthen their faith in the public-school setting.  Activities include discussions, crafts and service projects.  If you are interested in joining the Christian Club, see Mr. Dahlberg in Room 315.  There is a See You at The Pole (at Smith's flagpole in the front of the school) (SYATP) event this Wednesday (9/27) before school @ 9:00am.
