December is always a very busy month here at Smith!  Scholastic Book Fair, Music concerts and Spelling Bee are just a few activities that will be happening this month.

Howdy y'all, come lasso yourself a good book at our annual Scholastic Book Fair  

December 4th—8th

Online Fair is available now through December 6th.  
Books will be delivered to the school before winter break.

The Literacy of Builder's Club students have been working hard on decorations and posters to make our Annual Scholastic Book Fair fun and inviting! 

We have an amazing selection of books -- including great reads for parents.

Remember, all purchases benefit our school.  Come on down to the wildest book fair of this era!

Canned Food Drive sponsored by Student Council now until December 8th.  Help your community be donating non-perishable items.  Please have your student write their 4th hour teacher or room number on the items.  Class with the most donated items will win a prize.   

Our own Eva Dwight was published again in the All the Moms blog!   This one is about spending time and having fun with your family during the holidays.  

Our holiday concerts fill the heart with joy and excitement of the season.  Our Guitar students, Tuesday, December 5th 6:30pm, in the Band room.  Tuesday, December 12th our Choir will be at Skyline High School, 7:00pm, our Orchestra students will be in the Smith Auditorium at 7:00pm.   Our Band students will be on Thursday, December 14th at 7:00pm.  Smith has an outstanding performing arts department and our students do a remarkable job.  Treat yourself to some rejuvenation by attending the concerts.  

There is a buzz in the air, Spelling Bee time is here!  Class winners will compete in the school bee on Thursday, December 21st at 4:00pm in our Auditorium.  The students have been working hard practicing.  The winner will represent Smith in the District Bee, held in January.
