Biography

Hello!  My name is Angie Guerrero.  I was born and raised in Los Angeles, California.  I graduated from Garfield High School in East Los Angeles made famous for Jaime Escalante, a teacher who inspired his drop-out prone students to learn and pass the AP Calculus.  I moved to Anthony, New Mexico and attended New Mexico State University.  I received my teaching degree from NMSU in Las Cruces New Mexico.  After graduating, I taught 7th & 8th grade English for 4 years at Canutillo Jr High and for 10 years I taught 3rd & 4th Grades at Canutillo Elementary.  I later moved to Mesa, AZ where I worked in the Attendance Office at Westwood High School for 10 years.  Then I came to Smith and have been a Sidewinder ever since!  I like working with the kids and parents and with the staff and faculty.  I love my job!
