I was born and raised on Long Island's beautiful Great South Bay in Lindenhurst, New York. There, I attended Farmingdale State and Suffolk College to pursue a degree in Advertising Art. During that time, I worked with children of various ages, teaching them how to paint, and I loved it. Shortly after, I decided to follow my heart and earned a degree in Secondary Education and the Visual Arts at Dowling College. After graduation, I moved to Arizona to start my future. I began teaching Art and English at Carson Junior High which was a great experience. After having my daughter, I decided to take a break from service. Once I was ready to return to teaching, my husband and I thought it would be best that I was closer to home. I was thrilled to be hired on at Smith Junior High. From the beginning, I knew this was an amazing school with incredible teachers and opportunities. My daughter attended Smith and she received a great education here. This year, she will be starting her sophomore year at Red Mountain High School. I am so proud to say that I have had the privilege of teaching 7th Grade English at Smith for 14 years and it is a pleasure to be apart of this wonderful community. I look forward to another year of teaching our students at the BEST junior high school in the district!
