Biography

Hi! I am originally from California, but have lived in Arizona most of my life.  I am the oldest child in my Italian family of six.  I have a sister who just graduated from ASU and works at Skyline High School, two brothers (Sophomore & Senior) who attend Arizona State University.  My dad is a professor at Mesa Community College where he teaches technology/math courses.

As a student I graduated from Mountain View High School in Mesa, Arizona.  I received my bachelors degree in Secondary Education (With an emphasis in mathematics) from Arizona State University, and my masters through Northern Arizona University. For fun, I enjoy cheering on my students and my brothers at sporting events, I like scrap-booking, playing sports and private tutoring.  I have a passion for teaching and I believe that I have one of the most fulfilling jobs because I have the opportunity to help mold the minds of tomorrow.  I believe that you get out of education what you put into it.  This will be my fifth year at Smith.  My other teaching experience includes teaching at Mesa Community College as an adjunct math instructor, teaching Algebra II and coaching badminton at Mountain View High school.  I have also taught 7th accelerated math & Algebra I (summer school) at Stapley Junior High.  I have also done private math tutoring for 8 years.

I am looking forward to a wonderful, successful 2012-2013 school year.
