Biography:

Hello! My name is Sarah Moore, this will be my 2nd year at Smith Junior High teaching students with autism. Before this, I was an instructional assistant here for 4 years in the Moderate Intellectually Disabled self-contained classroom.  I also was fortunate enough to complete my student teaching here as well, which was with Cyndi Galvan in the Mild Intellectually Disabled class. It goes without saying that I absolutely love this school and the students I work with.

I am a native to Mesa and have lived in Arizona my entire life. I am a product of Mesa Public Schools; I started at Frost Elementary, attended Poston for junior high, and graduated from Mountain View High school in 2006. Go Toros! I am a die hard Sun Devil and attended Arizona State University. I graduated Summa Cum Laude in 2010 with a Bachelors in Special Education, emphasizing in MR. I will soon be starting my Masters program through NAU's Distance Learning program.

For fun, I play indoor soccer on a coed team, as well as an outdoor league. I had the opportunity to be the assistant coach for Smith's boy soccer last year and this year I will be coaching the girls soccer team. I'm a huge Arizona Cardinals fan and enjoy watching football. I'm a big nerd and LOVE to read, especially science fiction and historical fiction. If I happen to have any downtime(which is rare) it is spent reading. I also love to sing and am in a traveling church choir named Inspire. My family is the most important thing to me. I love spending time with them any chance I get, especially with my niece and nephews.

I am excited to work with your students and know that 2012-2013 is going to be a fabulous school year!:)
