Second graders enjoy literacy stations to learn about comprehension, prediction, phonics, fluency, writing and foster social skills and independence. Students also have fun science units that teach kids about weather and the development of butterflies. Our At-Home Reading program is called R.A.H. and it encourages students to read for at least 15 minutes everyday. Later in the year, we will have a special guest from our reading series, Anthony Reynoso, come to perform amazing roping tricks. Second Grade is an exciting fun-filled year!
