1. Education: B.S. Arizona State University – Communication Disorders and Audiology
M.S. Arizona State University – Speech-Language Pathology

2000-present: Preschool evaluation team member. Duties
include evaluating preschoolers to determine
eligibility for special education services.
1994-2000: SLP with Mesa Public Schools, Mesa, AZ.
Duties included providing speech/language services
to preschool through High School; Special education
Department Chair; Planning Committee member;
ASHA CFY supervisor; and functional programming
in-service instructor.
1979-1994: SLP with Harrison School District, Colorado
Springs, CO, providing K-12 speech therapy.
Duties included:
Learning disabilities/speech language combination
program instructor, teacher in-service instructor,
school leadership council member, Coordinator of
school-wide language arts program; summer
school reading instructor, cooperating teacher for
Special Education Internship program for the
University of Colorado at Colorado Springs, team
teacher integrating language development into
regular classroom curriculum, and Preschool Child
Find Evaluations.
1975-1979: SLP with Creighton School District, Phoenix,
AZ. Duties included providing speech/language
therapy to students K-8, with experience with hearing
handicapped students.

Duties included speech/language consultant for a
federally funded program for mainstreaming
handicapped preschoolers into regular preschool
program. Provided in-services and training for
preschool teachers.

Co-authored and submitted an article
for publication on the social position of the speech
handicapped child, co-authored a language therapy
program called SHAPE UP YOUR LANGUAGE
published by Communication Skill Builders in 1983,
served on numerous school and district committees,
provided in-services for the Colorado Department of
Education, in-service instructor in Harrison School
District in Colorado Springs, CO, Teacher of the
Year finalist for Harrison School District in 1989, and
received Public School Program of the Year Award
by the Colorado Speech/Hearing Association in
1991.
