I am a Speech Language Pathologist and work as a part of the excellent Speech Team at Stapley Jr. High. I am so excited to be returning to Stapley for my 4th year as a Sabercat. My family has been a part of the Mesa Public Schools community for 19 years and we love it! I have a son at ASU, a daughter at NAU, and I am a proud graduate of the University of Utah (Go Utes!). I will have plenty of shirt options to wear on "college shirt Wednesday."
I graduated with my B.A. in Speech and Hearing Science from the University of Utah in 1994, then again in 1996 with my M.S. in Speech Language Pathology. I have held the Certificate of Clinical Competence from ASHA, the American Speech and Hearing Association since 1997. I am a firm believer in being a continual learner and have received the "ACE" award from ASHA for continuing education. I also hold certificates from the Arizona Department of Health Services, and the Arizona Department of Education.
When I'm not at Stapley, or with my family, you will find me on the computer doing graphic design, on my phone playing Scrabble, or travelling the world. I was able to spend 3 weeks in China this summer! I love the quote by Walt Disney, "Keep moving forward." I plan to "keep moving forward" with the students at Stapley to improve speech and language skills for a successful year and a successful foundation for the future.
I am at Stapley on Tuesdays and Wednesdays for the 19-20 school year. I am happy to answer any questions you might have. Feel free contact me by phone or through email.
