Biography

                               Name: Patty J. Mattson, M.S., CCC-SLP.

 

 1.  Education:    B.S. Arizona State University – Speech and Hearing Science,   M.S. Arizona State University – Communication Disorders

 

 2.  Experience:   Certificate of Clinical Competency (CCC) – ASHA, ADHS License – Speech-Language Pathologist #0143

                                               

1980-1987: SLP with Tempe Elementary Schools, Tempe, AZ. 

Duties included providing speech/language services to preschool through Jr. High School; serving a term as Speech/Language  department chair.

 

1988-1994: SLP with Olathe School District, Olathe, Kansas.

 Duties included providing speech/language services to preschool through Jr. High School; developing a curriculum and co-teaching a social  language skills class in the middle school MIMD class.

 

1995-present:  SLP with Mesa Public Schools, Mesa, AZ.

Duties have included serving as SLP in the Early Childhood

Special Education programs throughout the district;

conducting screenings and comprehensive evaluations;

ASHA CFY supervisor. Currently serve as an evaluation team

member. Duties include evaluating preschoolers to determine

eligibility for Early Childhood Special Education services; placing children transitioning from AzEIP services to MPS.
