The Mesa Public Schools' Student Services Division has a strong commitment to support the regular instruction of children in the schools. The Guidance, Health Services, and Special Education, are specifically oriented to assist in creating a conducive learning environment for all students.

Assistant Superintendent Dr. David Shuff is the district's compliance officer with respect to Title IX (gender-based discrimination), Title VI (race, color, ethnicity and national origin-based discrimination), Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act (handicap-based discrimination) and the Americans with Disabilities Act (disability-based discrimination) regarding students.
