49th Annual Student Services Awards
We are now accepting nominations for the 49th Annual Student Service Awards. We've simplified the process this year by providing you with the link below to submit your nomination. Nominations must be returned by.
Please fill out the Google form to nominate students, teachers, support professionals, family or community members for this year's Student Service Awards. These awards focus on those who have demonstrated outstanding achievement either as a special education student or in support of a special education student. This year's ceremony will be held at the Westwood High School Auditorium aton .
Outstanding Student - a student who receives special education services who has made significant progress in one or more the following areas: academics, arts, athletics, communications, community or extracurricular activities or skills that will impact post-school success. Or a general ed student who has provided outstanding support of students with disabilities.
Outstanding Support Professionals - Principal, psychologist, nurse, counselor, therapist, instructional assistant, etc. who has gone above and beyond the requirements of the job to support students with disabilities.
Outstanding Department or School - This award seeks to recognize an entire school or district department that supports innovative practices in the delivery or integration of general and special education services and/or transitions activities for students with disabilities.
Outstanding Teacher - Special education or general education teacher who goes above and beyond the requirements of the job to support the academic/social-emotional learning of students with disabilities.
Outstanding Family Member - New "Family Partnership Award" to a parent, family member or guardian who exemplifies parent - professional collaboration.
Outstanding Community Member - This award recognizes an individual, business or agency that supports students with disabilities.
