For young students, if teachers are planning on sharing the Inauguration event, it is recommended that a recorded version be used as opposed to live streaming.  This can then be pre-planned and developmentally appropriate in the event that violence or other events occur on Inauguration Day.  Teachers can find helpful strategies to discuss the events of the past few weeks or upcoming in the event that violent acts continue at the following websites:
