SIM Makes a Difference

The Space Integration Module has been selected to receive the DCAT Making a Difference Award from the  National Science Teachers Association.This award recognizes excellence in a science program developed and implemented by teachers grades K-12. Using innovative and effective teaching strategies to influence students to explore and investigate science SIM is honored to be selected as the 2011 winner.

SIM wins National PBS Award! 

PBS reports,  "The Teachers Innovation Award winners use media and technology creatively to engage and support their students in new ways, representing the highest standard of innovation in education, and we are pleased to have them collaborate with us as we help prepare tomorrow’s workforce.  See the top 10 winners! 

 

Golden Bell

 

SIM Wins ASBA Golden Bell Award

The SIM received the " Golden Bell Award" in the 2007-2008 school year. Awarded by the Arizona School Boards Association (ASBA), the Golden Bell Award recognizes school programs from throughout the state that have shown outstanding successes in student achievement.

In partnership, Mesa Schools and The Boeing Company have won national recognition for their collaborative efforts. 

 

SIM Gains National Attention

Students across the country may also have the opportunity to "blast off" and experience simulated space travel as well. Colleen Howard and Karri West share details about the SIM format with top educators from across the country each February during the Space Exploration Educators Conference at NASA’s Johnson Space Center in Houston.
