Great Arizona Code Challenge!
Come on down to the Great Arizona Challenge! Create video games, apps and websites, meet new people, compete for prizes, learn about how coding can help you get jobs, start businesses, and make your "dent in the universe." This event is open to K-12 kids from all over Arizona. It will be tons of fun, whether you have been coding for years or you're just getting started. After the coding is over, all the kids will have a chance to present their project to their peers in a "show and tell" session. Expert judges will choose winning teams and award awesome prizes at the closing ceremony, open to families and the general public on Saturday evening. Runs from July 22nd to July 23rd; save your space today!
Fremont 7th Grade STEAM Cohort
The 7th Grade Fremont STEAM Cohort is now accepting district-wide applications until April 22nd! The STEAM Cohort provides a unique experience that only Fremont can offer. Students will be packed with a tool belt of knowledge that can be taken past the classroom and apply in real- world scenarios. Students will travel in a cohort and be exposed to a team-building environment where they will encounter problem based learning activities. Students in STEAM will also be apart of using some of the latest technology trends in the district and be trained to use programs that few their age have been exposed to. STEAM instructors work very closely together to ensure students progress as well as creating an innovative learning environment that goes beyond each content area allowing for deeper connection in their learning experience.
