My name is Avril Anders and I graduated in 2017 with a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education as well as an endorsement in Structured English Immersion from the University of Phoenix. I was born in Nevada, but have lived in Mesa since 2004. I have three children who are at Las Sendas elementary and Mesa Academy.

I have worked for the Mesa Public School district for the last 7 years and have taught 4th, 3rd, and 1st grade. I have been involved in the summer aviation camp program for 5 years and love working with the students to expand their love of aviation.  I also love to volunteer with the youth in Mesa and currently teach science class one night per week for students ages 5-12.

I am passionate about learning and feel that you are never too old or too young to learn new things. I worked in the ACE program for 4 years prior to teaching in the classroom and I am very excited to be coming back as an Instructor. I look forward to meeting this years 5th grade students.
