College and Career Rediness
Lessons and Descriptions
Students will familiarize themselves with the different career options and start to think about their future.
Students will meet with their counselor to discuss classes for the upcoming school year.
Make it Happen
Students will attend an overall, comprehensive presentation made to 8th graders to inform students about the requirements to graduate from high school and complete their own personal plan to do so.
My Four Year Plan
After students attend the Make it Happen presentation, they are required to develop their Education and Career Action Plan (ECAP) prior to graduation. The initial plan is developed now in junior high and will be updated throughout high school. An ECAP reflects the student's current plan of coursework, career aspirations and extended learning opportunities. These plans help personalize education and enable students to maximize the opportunities available upon high school graduation.
Students will meet with their counselor to discuss classes for their first year of high school.
