NJHS Membership
How do you qualify?

Qualification for membership in NJHS is eighth grade standing with a minimum of a 3.5 grade point average for the first three consecutive seventh grade quarters.
After selection, members must maintain at least a 3.5 grade point average and meet good character, leadership, citizenship, and service requirements.

If a member's GPA drops for one quarter, the member will be put on probation.  If the GPA drops for a second quarter, the member will be dismissed from NJHS.

Membership in this chapter is an honor bestowed upon and earned by a member.

Members who fail to meet attendance, service, or GPA requirements, deadlines, or follow correct procedures will be dismissed from NJHS.  The sponsor and committee must adhere to national guidelines when determining who is and is not eligible to remain a member in good standing.  Once a member has been removed from NJHS, re-application is not possible, as per the national office.
