Message from the Principal

A portion of our Stapley Mission statement reads, “Our school’s purpose is to educate all students to high levels of performance.  Through fostering appropriate attitudes of truth, trust, respect and responsibility, our students will be motivated to become lifelong learners and productive members of our society.”  This is a wonderful guiding statement that we are using to improve on several elements of our school program. In education we identify with the scientific principle that nothing ever stays constant; programs are either improving or declining.  Stapley Junior High School remains in a state of continuous improvement through a variety of means.  Our staff consistently strives to incorporate technology enhanced teaching strategies to deliver rigorous and relevant instruction that is aligned with state standards.  Stay tuned throughout this year for more information regarding improving the technology we offer within our instructional program.

I am sure that you will agree Stapley is a terrific school.  There are so many exciting things happening here on a daily basis that bring a smile to our students’ faces, as well as rigorous levels of learning into our classrooms. The short-term goals at Stapley are to make sure student’s needs are being met every day and provide resources to our classrooms to enhance the teaching and learning experience.  Other plans include providing more access to technology within our classrooms, enriching the positive environment with activities during grade level lunches,  offering numerous clubs and activities before and after school, ensuring the grounds and facilities remain in top form, enhancing our interactive web site including grades on line and classroom assignment calendars, and investing time and resources into increasing our academic programs.  The entire staff of Stapley looks forward to meeting the educational challenges this decade brings us.
