Dear Parents/Guardians and Students:

Welcome to the 2016-2017 school year at Stapley Junior High!  The Autism classroom allows students to work on academics, social skills, organization and maximizing their personal -independence. The classes are individualized and based on the needs of each student and their IEP goals.

I am looking forward to working with you and your child.  I am confident that students will enjoy and gain practical knowledge from lessons and activities I have planned. Students will be expected to work hard and to their fullest potential. I am focused on a creating classroom that provide a safe and caring environment while promoting student learning.

Students are expected to follow all school and classroom rules.  Your student will be given a copy of the school handbook.  I will read and discuss the handbook in class.  Please familiarize yourself with it, as it is a great resource to refer to before and during the school year.  All students will be required to write daily assignments for each class in the planner located in student handbooks.  Please use the planner as a tool to communicate with me as needed.

Communication between home and school is vital to your child’s success. Please feel free to contact me by phone or e-mail if you have questions, concerns, or comments. Working together we will make this a wonderful and successful year for your child.
