Mr. Nate Benham, M.Ed.
Hello & welcome to my small piece of internet property!
I hope that your student feels welcome and excited to be a Sabercat! I am the designated counselor for students whose last names start with A-M. I enjoy my position as student academic adviser and counselor in helping parents and students alike enjoy their experience here at Stapley.
I've been an academic adviser and counselor for 8 years, 7 of which have been here at Stapley. I've had numerous opportunities to leave and go elsewhere but after my first couple years at Stapley I've never desired to leave. My passion for sports is comparable to my passion working with young adults; consequently, I love to coach and be involved in the school's athletic programs. Currently I am the 8th grade boys head basketball coach. I've enjoyed it immensely and feel very privileged to coach at a school where the players, parents and school are full of incredibly talented people, are wonderfully supportive and make my job extremely easy and enjoyable. Thank you!
Academically I received my Master's of Education degree in Counseling & Guidance from The University of Arizona. Previous to that I was a student at Brigham Young University where I completed my Bachelor of Science degree in Sociology. Additionally, I hold a license in real estate and work part time for Keller Williams as a member of The Shanna Day Team here in East Mesa. When I'm not coaching or working I enjoy spending time with my beautiful wife Brooke and our happy little 1 year old, Maddox. We love playing at the beach, going to the lake and watching Netflix.
Thank you for stopping by! Please feel free to contact me anytime either via email or phone & I will try to return a prompt response. I look forward to working with you and your student(s) here at Stapley & making their short experience here a successful and enjoyable one. Welcome to Stapley!
