Mr. Nate Benham, M.Ed.
Hello & welcome to my small piece of internet property!
I hope that your student feels welcome and excited to be a Sabercat! I am the designated counselor for students who's last names start with A-M. I enjoy my position as student academic adviser and counselor in helping parents and students alike enjoy their experience here at Stapley.
I've been an academic adviser and counselor for 7 years, 6 of which have been here at Stapley. I've had numerous opportunities to leave and return as a high school adviser and counselor but after my first couple years at Stapley I've never desired to be anywhere else but here. My passion for sports is comparable to my passion working with young adults; consequently, I'm heavily involved in coaching and have been the head 8th grade boys basketball coach since I arrived. I've enjoyed coaching immensely and feel very privileged to be a coach at a school where the players and parents are incredibly talented, wonderfully supportive, and make my job extremely easy and enjoyable. Thank you!
Academically I received my Master's of Education degree in Counseling & Guidance from The University of Arizona. Previous to that I was a student at Brigham Young University where I completed my Bachelor of Science degree in Sociology. Additionally, I possess a license in real estate and work part time for Keller Williams as a member of The Shanna Day Team on Saturdays and during summers. I also work evening shifts at Circle K during the week as a customer service rep. When I'm not working I share and enjoy my life with my beautiful wife Brooke and our newest little family member, Maddox Klay. We love playing at the beach, going to the lake, visiting Hawaii, and watching Netflix.
Thank you for stopping by! Please feel free to contact me anytime either via email or phone & I will try to return a prompt response. I look forward to working with you and your student(s) here at Stapley & making their short experience here a successful and enjoyable one. Welcome to Stapley!
