Welcome to Spanish class!
I am very excited to begin another fantastic year at Stapley!
I started with Mesa Public Schools in 2003, but started my teaching career in 1993, right out of college, and have taught Spanish to grades 5-12. I specifically went to college to become a Spanish teacher because of my love of the language and the cultures that speak it. I have traveled to Spain, Mexico, and Puerto Rico (Argentina is on my bucket list) and enjoy sharing those experiences with my students through pictures, videos, and stories. I have very high expectations in my classroom. My goal is to teach my students Spanish for proficiency, as well as provide them with strategies and work habits that will help them throughout their education.
On a personal note, I am a Chicago area native and a diehard Cubs fan! I am the proud mom of a Red Mountain High School junior and a 2019 Red Mountain graduate who is working on her degree in music education and performance.
Please contact me anytime if you have questions or concerns regarding your student's progress or Spanish class in general. I am looking forward to another successful year with Stapley students and their families.
