Señora Jennifer Smith
Welcome to Spanish class! I am very excited to begin another fantastic year at Stapley!
I started with Mesa Public Schools in 2003, but started my teaching career in 1993, right out of college, and have taught Spanish to grades 5-12. I have traveled to Spain, Mexico, and Puerto Rico and enjoy sharing those experiences with my students through pictures, videos, and stories. I have very high expectations in my classroom. My goal is to teach my students Spanish for proficiency, as well as provide them with strategies and work habits that will help them throughout their education. I invite you to join us in the classroom to see this structured, yet fun and interactive environment.
On a personal note, I am a Chicago native and a diehard Cubs fan! I am the proud mom of a Red Mountain freshman and a Red Mountain graduate who is beginning her degree in music education and performance.
Please contact me anytime if you have questions or concerns regarding your student's progress or Spanish class in general. I am looking forward to another successful year with Stapley students and their families.
