*My number one classroom rule is RESPECT. This encompasses every area that makes a
classroom run smoothly, from being on time to not talking over others to
treating people kindly. PARTICIPATION,
especially in an Honors classroom, is vital.
Your group members will depend on it. RESPONSIBILITY is on you in 7th
grade. You need to make time to come in
for help or use my printer if you do not have one, or borrow my markers
etc. Waiting until the second something
is due to tell me you needed something will result in the lower grade. Breaking these rules will result in penalties
ranging from movement of seat to calls home, detention or REMOVAL FROM HONORS.
(An A or B is required to stay in the program)
Grades in this class are computed on a regular 10%
scale. (90=A, 80=B etc)
--At the end of the quarter, if your grade is an 89.5% or
above, I will only round to an A if ALL of your assignments are completed by
the due date and exhibit the effort and quality of the student’s personal best.
*Late work: You may turn in late work BUT it is due by
the end of each unit. NO EXCEPTIONS. (if late, you will receive 50% of the points
plagiarism, regardless of amount, will result in a zero, to both parties. This includes GROUP class assignments , finished at home on
own then copied the next day by group members.
*As a GT student, you will do many projects that
require self motivation, team work and a sense of maturity to participate in
the different activities appropriately.
Also, you required to maintain grades of B or higher. If you receive a C
or lower, you will be placed on probation and a meeting will be held to discuss
your continued participation in the program.
