I was born and raised in Lake Villa, Illinois. It's a very small town outside of Chicago, Illinois. I received my undergraduate degree from DePaul University. Never a fan of snow or ice, I moved to Arizona in 1991 to get away from the winter weather.  I received my Master's degree from Arizona State University.

I'm married with two boys, Christopher and Michael. My oldest is at junior at ASU this year, and my youngest is a freshman at MCC. This is my tenth year at Stapley Junior High, but my thirteenth year in the district. I  love sports and am a huge fan of the Chicago Cubs.  The World Series win was the best year ever, but I'm looking forward to the playoffs again this year!

This year will be our seventh year of complete immersion in Arizona Mathematics Standards.  We are looking forward to exposing students to the curriculum and new avenues for learning mathematics.
