I have been teaching in Mesa Public Schools since 1996. In that time I have taught 7th, 8th, and 9th grade science as well as Chemistry. I Graduated from Arizona State University in 1988 with of Bachelor of Science degree in Justice Studies, and I received a Post Baccalaureate in Secondary Education from Ottawa University in 1995. I have lived in Mesa since 1975 where I attended Nathan Hale Elementary, Poston Junior High, and Mountain View High School graduating in 1985.
I love teaching science because I think that I give students not only an introduction to science, but that I teach them to be is a life long critical thinker and problem solver. Science is a hands on class, so you should always ask your student "What did you learn in science today?"
Starting 2019-2020 All Arizona Science Standards are been taught differently. Click on link for more information.
