I have been in the "teaching" business for 17 years and have had numerous positions. I started my teaching career, after graduating with my Bachelors Degree from Arizona Christian University, at Gilbert Public Schools. In Gilbert, I taught sixth grade for eight years and also worked as a Behavioral Specialist for another two. In the past, I have also worked as a school assistant principal, gifted teacher, and most recently I was the principal of a private school devoted to working with students diagnosed with Autism. I received my Masters in School Leadership from University of Phoenix and I am currently attending class to gain a Masters Degree in Business Administration. Outside the school setting I have had the honor of directing a non-profit organization that encourages foster teens in Arizona to become successful in life.
Personally, I have been married to my beautiful bride, Kim, for almost 10 years. She is also a teacher and works at Mesa High School. I have been blessed to be called dad by my five amazing children. They have taught me about patience, determination, and how to find the wonder in everything. Taylor and Jenna are nine year old twins who are in the fourth grade, Zachary is 7 and is just started the second grade, Brady is in kindergarten, and Hadlee is just two years old. I have my hands full at both home and school! I would have it no other way!
Born on the East Coast, it has taken some time to call Arizona home. I am from Gloucester, Massachusetts which is a small fishing town filled with tradition. In my spare time I love to play softball, watch movies with my wife, and wrestle my kids.
