Hi!

Side of a cliff with clear geologic layering of rockWe are going to be having a fun, if distant, year in science.  We've got new standards to learn, and I am so excited to begin teaching you!  We are going to learn about cells, and the laws of motion, and ROCKS!  Rocks are the best, says the former geologist.

For some geology fun and learning, might I recommend going to the following interactive geology map of Arizona?  It's a fun, interactive tool that lets you look at Arizona through the eyes of geologist.  You will be able to find different fault types in the state (things you're student will learn more about in class).  Additionally, you can use the site to dig deeper and look at other maps of the whole United States.  Have fun exploring all the different ways you can look at our country and it's magnificent rocks!
