Teaching has always been my passion.  From a very young age,  I knew I wanted to be a teacher.  This desire has never changed.  After graduating from Arizona State with my degree in education, I began teaching for Mesa Public Schools.  I continued to teach for 9 years before I resigned so that I could be at home with my own children.  During this time, I had the incredible privilege of homeschooling both of my children. A few years ago, I returned to Mesa Public Schools.  I have had the pleasure of teaching at Highland Elementary, Brimhall Junior High, Eagleridge Enrichment, and now Summit Academy.  I have taught kindergarten as well as all grades 3rd through 9th.  I have thoroughly enjoyed it all.

I am a native of Arizona.  I was born in Globe and moved to Mesa as a teenager.  I graduated from Mountain View High School before attending ASU.  I went on to earn my MAE from Northern Arizona University.  I have been married to my wonderful husband since 1985 and we have one amazing daughter, one outstanding son, one awesome daughter-in-law and one incredible son-in-law.  I have never lived anywhere other than Arizona, but I do love to travel.  I have been a few places, but there is still much of the world I hope to visit.
