The Sunridge Parent Liaison Group is similar to a PTO of a typical school. The group is made up of the Sunridge Principal, one teacher, and one to two parents representing each classroom. The purpose of the group is to plan and execute several events during the year, and to help make decisions that may come up requiring parent input.
The events planned by the Parent Representatives are:- Fall Fundraiser (Cookie Dough)
- Family Picnics (one in the Fall and sometimes one in the Spring)
- Holiday Teacher Appreciation (December)
- Field Day (March – on Friday before Spring Break begins)
- Last Day School Activity (on the last day of School!)
The parent representatives may also coordinate volunteers for the Scholastic Book Fair, Skateland parties and other fundraising activities.
To volunteer to be the parent liaison for your child's classroom, talk to your child's teacher. To find out when the next meeting will be held, check with the Principal.
